JULÄINE is a PLLA-based injectable designed to stimulate collagen production. It may be considered when facial skin and support have changed, with the aim of gradual improvement. Emma assesses whether it is appropriate for your concern and explains its evidence and limitations.

Results and timing
Improvement is assessed over time rather than from the appearance immediately after treatment. Emma will explain when to review progress and whether further treatment is appropriate. Julaine and Sculptra are distinct formulations: the plan and supporting evidence for one should not be assumed to apply identically to the other. Neither removes significant excess skin.
Downtime and aftercare
Swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising are possible. Follow the product-specific aftercare provided and attend planned reviews.
Suitability and safety
Injection treatments carry risks including infection, delayed nodules and rare vascular injury. PLLA is not readily dissolved like hyaluronic-acid filler. Contraindications and alternatives are discussed before consent; results and duration vary.
