Understanding the concern

Skin changes.
Your plan should too.

Skin can begin to feel dull, dry, crepey or less resilient as collagen, elastin, hydration and barrier function change. Hormones, sun exposure, health, lifestyle and skincare all influence how—and how quickly—those changes become visible.

What you may notice
  • Dullness or reduced luminosity
  • Fine lines and crepey texture
  • Dryness or reduced bounce
  • Uneven tone and visible sun damage
01

Why it can happen

Ageing is only part of the picture. Cumulative ultraviolet exposure, hormonal change, smoking, stress, sleep, nutrition, medication and an unsuitable skincare routine can all affect texture, tone and hydration.

02

How we assess it

Consultation looks at the skin as a whole: hydration, barrier strength, pigmentation, texture, movement and structural support. Emma also reviews products, previous procedures and how much downtime or maintenance feels realistic.

03

Options we may discuss

A plan may combine daily skincare and sun protection with selected treatments such as peels, microneedling, laser, injectable skin treatments, collagen-stimulating procedures or Sofwave. The most useful option depends on the cause rather than the trend.

04

Important to know

Healthy-looking skin is usually built through consistency. A measured plan often produces a more believable result than trying to correct every visible change at once.

This information is general and is not a diagnosis. New, changing, bleeding or otherwise concerning skin lesions should be assessed by an appropriate medical professional.
